EMEA Sitecore Experience Award: Österreichische Post AG website

E-commerce and digital marketing integrated in a customer-friendly platform

We won the Sitecore Experience Award in the EMEA central region in the category “Most impactful human connections in a changing world” for the innovative relaunch of the “post.at” internet portal. The award recognises the unique customer experience following the makeover for Österreichische Post AG.

The new version of the website was created using Sitecore Experience Platform 9.0 as a technical base. The result is an improved self-service area and a unified platform in which e-commerce and digital marketing are integrated. With improved customer-friendliness, better functionalities and personalisation, the new website meets all requirements for efficiency, flexibility and a more user-friendly user experience. An efficient solution was created to strengthen Österreichische Post AG both in its core competencies and in the area of e-commerce and its role as market leader and innovator.

Agile project approach

Sitecore software ensures improvements on all devices – both in customer experience and for the operations teams. For example, individual marketing across all digital channels and seamless integration of other services is now feasible.

During the implementation, we worked in collaboration with Österreichischen Post AG on site in mixed teams. The project groups on both sides were fully integrated in order to ensure an agile approach.

360 degree view of Post customers

With the Sitecore product and service solutions, Österreichische Post is optimising the digital experience. The Sitecore XP integration improves customer support, amongst other things, by embedding contact form management. A registered customer doesn’t have to fill out any more forms. From the perspective of the back-end user, the Sitecore content management functions have been significantly reduced. It now takes the Post portal team less than five minutes to create and publish new content which previously took several hours.

A number of functions improve the user experience. The digital agency has standardised business-relevant CRM connectors for an optimised user interface. Thanks to the expertise of IBM iX and the Sitecore software solution, Österreichische Post has gained a 360 degree view of its customers. The Post can now also use the newly gained insights for UI / UX quality checks and improvements.
