Legal Counsel (f/m/x)

Are you an ambitious lawyer who is passionate about complex legal issues in the fields of IT, the Internet of Things, AI and blockchain and is willing to support our diverse, collegial team, which operates on an equal footing with large law firms in an international environment? Then we are looking for you as Legal Counsel (f/m/x) to join our team as soon as possible at our Berlin or Düsseldorf location on a full-time basis (40 hours per week).

Your tasks

• You will work in a wide range of legal areas such as contract and public procurement law, IT and media law, data protection law and others
• The focus is on advising and supporting the management and specialist departments on all legal issues, particularly in complex ICT contract and procurement projects, including those with an international dimension
• You will draft, review and negotiate individual and standardized contracts such as EVB-IT contracts, change requests, framework agreements, confidentiality agreements and data protection agreements with customers and subcontractors
• You are responsible for the implementation, support and monitoring of Group-wide internal legal & compliance requirements, in particular in the context of the legal review, negotiation and internal approval of customer contracts
• You deal with procurement law issues in the context of participation in tenders and review supplier contracts
• You negotiate contracts with subcontractors and support the procurement team
• You advise and issue statements in the data protection and information security team
• You conduct internal training courses and coordinate cooperation with external lawyers

Your skills

• Successfully completed a full law degree with above-average state examinations, preferably a doctorate, and ideally several years of professional experience in a law firm or company with an international focus
• Very good knowledge of contract and public procurement law, IT and media law, data protection law; good knowledge of employment/corporate law and an understanding of economic contexts
• Ability to communicate complex legal issues precisely and comprehensibly to non-lawyers, as well as diplomatic and negotiating skills
• Affinity for IT, media and all things digital, combined with strong communication skills and a confident manner
• Very good written and oral communication skills in German and English (C2 level in German and C1 in English)
