When people talk about Quality Assurance, it often gets reduced to clicking through an application and reporting bugs. In real product teams, QA plays a much bigger role. It is part of the entire development process and requires analytical thinking, technical curiosity, and the ability to understand how software is actually built.

That is exactly what this QA Bootcamp is about.

IBM iX is launching a two-month intensive QA Bootcamp for people who want to seriously learn the craft of Quality Assurance. The focus is on hands on work, real tools and real project situations. You will learn how quality is built into products from the beginning, not checked at the end.
This is full time program and it requires commitment. Participation, presence and active engagement matter. After completion of the Bootcamp, selected participants will have the opportunity to join IBM iX as Junior QA Engineers.

Bootcamp details

Duration: 2 months (approx. 8 weeks)
Start: April 2026
Location: Hybrid (Studio Zagreb with 2-3 days per week onsite & home-office)
Working hours: Full-time engagement (40h/week)
Language: English and Croatian
Seats: Limited number of participants, to allow close mentorship and focused learning

What you will learn

During the Bootcamp, you will work on real tasks and real problems, including:

• Manual testing basics such as test case creation, execution and defect reporting
• How the software delivery lifecycle works and how QA collaborates in agile teams
• Developing a quality mindset, including risk-based thinking and prioritization
• API testing fundamentals
• Test automation using Playwright, including POM and CI basics
• Foundations of automation and introduction to test architecture
• How AI can support testing workflows
• Basics of performance and accessibility testing
• Project work with regular feedback, mentoring and hands-on assignments

• You are a final-year student in a technical or related field or a motivated QA enthusiast
• You are available full-time during the Bootcamp and for potential employment afterwards
• You are genuinely interested in software quality, testing and technology
• You enjoy analyzing systems, spotting issues and thinking critically
• You take responsibility for your learning and show up consistently
• You like working in a team and communicating clearly
• You are comfortable working in Croatian and English (written & spoken)

You don’t need previous professional QA experience. What matters most is curiosity, reliability and willing to learn.
