(Senior) Java Developer (f/m/x)

Ready to lead and build at scale? Join us as experienced Java Developer and take ownership of designing and delivering modern eCommerce and CMS solutions used by real customers every day. In this role, you’ll shape technical direction, influence architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and clients. You’ll work in an agile and cross-functional team-oriented environment where clean code, high standards, and continuous improvement aren’t just encouraged – they’re expected.

We are looking for you to join our team as soon as possible in full-time (40 hours per week), ideally in Varaždin/Zagreb/Osijek in a hybrid way (partially home-office).

Your tasks

• You design and develop clean, maintainable, and testable Java web applications for CMS and eCommerce platforms, with a strong focus on code quality and user experience
• You drive unit and integration testing and help establish development standards, guidelines, and best practices
• You develop technical concepts with your team, present solutions to clients, and facilitate technical workshops
• You collaborate closely with product owners and client teams on backlogs, acceptance criteria, and user stories
• You continuously improve development processes by introducing innovative methods and new technologies, including AI

Your skills

• You have a degree in Computer Science (or comparable education) and 3+ years of experience in Java web development
• You have strong front-end skills and understand the interaction between back-end systems and modern front-end frameworks
• You bring experience with CMS and eCommerce platforms (Adobe Experience Manager or Commercetools is a plus)
• You apply design patterns, separation of concerns, and write reliable unit and integration tests
• You ensure code quality using CI and static code analysis tools and value peer reviews and continuous learning
• You work confidently with relational databases and highly available, distributed enterprise systems
• You communicate fluently in English (German is a plus)
