DevOps Engineer with a Service Management focus (f/m/x)

Do you dream in Bash scripts, speak fluent Kubernetes, and consider “git push” a love language – but also thrive when leading client service teams and driving delivery excellence? Then we’re looking for a you as our next (Senior) DevOps Engineer with a strong Service Delivery Management focus (f/m/x) in full time (40h per week) at our locations in Berlin or Düsseldorf.

This is not an either/or role – proven experience in both DevOps engineering and service delivery management is essential. You will build, automate, and optimize digital experiences end-to-end, from cloud infrastructure to seamless client collaboration.

Due to the specifics of our project landscape, please note that for this position we can only consider candidates who are proficient in both English and German.

Your tasks

  • You serve as the main client contact for all service-related matters, collaborating with development, operations, and business teams to define SLAs and operational scope.
  • You lead the client service team, ensuring timely execution, high service quality, and alignment with delivery expectations.
  • You handle service requests end-to-end, from qualification to resolution, maintaining a professional and structured communication approach.
  • You manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines, while consulting internal teams and clients on DevOps practices and deployment strategies.
  • You install, configure, and administer systems across cloud (in e.g. Azure, AWS, Google), managed hosting, and on-prem environments.
  • You oversee infrastructure reliability, incident monitoring, and reporting (SLAs, RCAs), and drive continuous service improvement.

Your skills

  • You have solid hands-on experience in both DevOps engineering (CI/CD, cloud, scripting, automation) and service delivery management (client interaction, SLA management, team coordination).
  • You demonstrate strong customer orientation, structured problem-solving, and the ability to manage service delivery in international digital environments.
  • You bring technical expertise in Windows/Linux OS, Shell/Bash scripting, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • You are familiar with Git and modern DevOps toolchains for building, testing, and deploying applications.
  • You understand key enterprise systems like CMS, commerce platforms (Adobe, SAP CX, Sitecore), and core infrastructure components such as databases and high availability systems.
  • You are fluent in English and German, work confidently with agile methods (Scrum), and use tools like Jira and Confluence effectively.
