As Client Director Defense & Intelligence (f/m/x), you actively shape the strategic expansion of our defense business. You own key client relationships, identify new growth opportunities and position IBM iX as a trusted, long‑term partner in the defense and security environment. We are looking for you to join us full‑time at our Berlin studio.

Your tasks

• You operate confidently within the defense and security sector and take strategic ownership of defined key and target accounts, ideally also within the defense technology industry
• You support public sector tender management with a focus on Defense & Intelligence, including strategic analysis, evaluation and active steering of procurement processes from a business perspective
• You manage complex client and project requirements in a structured manner, collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and maintain full visibility across your pipeline and the entire account lifecycle
• Together with your clients (including the Bundeswehr, BWI and the Federal Ministry of Defence), you develop relevant innovation and digital strategies and bring them to life through sustainable account development and project delivery
• You proactively identify new client needs and build long-term, trust-based relationships at both decision-making and operational levels
• You position IBM iX as a strategic partner in the Defense & Intelligence environment and represent the business at industry events, conferences and relevant trade fairs
• You own client success, growth and satisfaction and motivate your project and account teams to jointly deliver excellent results

Your skills

• Defense & Intelligence are your passion – you understand the specific dynamics, ways of thinking and regulatory frameworks of this environment and navigate it with confidence
• You bring hands-on experience from security‑relevant organisations, such as the armed forces, police, security authorities or the defense technology industry
• You engage at eye level, inspire trust and stand out through your ability to communicate complex topics clearly, structured and to the point
• You have a solid technical foundation in digitalisation topics within the public sector and defense‑related environments
• Ideally, you bring an established and reliable network within Defense & Intelligence or have a proven ability to build one in a targeted and sustainable way
• You enjoy working with and for your clients on site and are willing to travel as required, particularly to locations such as Berlin, Bonn and Munich
• You have full professional proficiency in German (C2 level) and strong to fluent English skills (B2/C1), both written and spoken
