Senior Account Executive – Health & Insurance (f/m/x)

As Senior Account Executive – Health & Insurance (f/m/x), you are responsible for the strategic and operational business development within the Health & Insurance environment, with a strong focus on the private insurance sector. You identify and develop sustainable growth opportunities among new clients and position IBM iX as a leading partner for digital transformation, customer experience and AI‑enabled services.
We are looking for you to join us full‑time at our Berlin or Düsseldorf locations at the earliest possible date.
In the Health & Insurance Cluster, we work in various teams on projects in the fields of Healthcare & Life Sciences, Pharma and Insurance, particularly in the statutory and private health insurance sectors, but also for clients in the traditional insurance environment. We set new standards for digitalization in each industry and support our clients in digitalizing their business models, closing processes and sales channels, adapting them to the growing demands of users.

Your tasks

  • You act as a central presales and growth role, developing robust account and growth strategies for new clients, actively identifying new business opportunities across the insurance ecosystem and steering complex opportunity pipelines
  • You drive new deals with new clients by identifying, shaping, qualifying and prioritising sales opportunities and, together with subject‑matter experts and Client Directors, leading them to successful closure
  • You position IBM iX as a strategic partner for digital transformation, customer experience and AI‑infused services across various channels within the Health & Insurance environment
  • Together with our experts, you develop compelling value propositions, business cases and decision materialsYou initiate and develop presales formats with our experts, such as executive workshops, solution pitches and co‑creation sessions with clients
  • You build and continuously expand long‑term relationships with relevant stakeholders, partners and decision‑makers in the Health & Insurance market
  • You are actively involved in key committees, associations or industry bodies to gain market insights and further expand your network
  • As an industry expert, you actively contribute market, competitive and trend insights to the ongoing development of our offering portfolio and go‑to‑market strategy

Your skills

  • You bring extensive experience in consulting, presales or business development within the Health & Insurance environment
  • You have a deep understanding of the industry across key value chains as well as a thorough knowledge of the business models of private insurers (private health insurance, property and casualty, life insurance)
  • You have proven experience in developing and managing complex sales and presales processes, including strategic offerings and large‑scale deals
  • You possess a strong and reliable network at decision‑maker level within the Health & Insurance market
  • You take a holistic view of digital transformation initiatives and are able to translate topics such as platforms, customer experience, data, AI and processes into clear business value
  • You operate confidently at C‑level, stand out through excellent communication and negotiation skills and act as a trusted sparring partner
  • You demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, act with a high degree of ownership and proactively drive strategic growth
  • You are fluent in German (C2 level) and have very strong English skills (at least B2)
