Lead Android Developer (f/m/x)

Please note that due to the project demands, for this position we can only consider candidates that are German (and English) fluent.

Shape the future of mobile applications and join our team as a Lead Android Developer (f/m/x). You will use your technical skills and creative ideas to develop and optimize innovative solutions for millions of users.

Your tasks

• You will design and optimize innovative Android applications in Android Studio – using Jetpack Compose & Compose Navigation and Kotlin Coroutines
• You will support our customers in implementing modern technologies (e.g. Kotlin Multiplatform) and develop individual, forward-looking solutions
• Together with your colleagues, you will realize challenging projects – supported by CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins or GitHub Actions) and test automation tools such as Paparazzi, maestro.dev and JUnit
• You will skillfully integrate REST/GraphQL APIs, push notifications, analytics frameworks and third-party libraries into the existing app
• Using crash reporting tools such as Firebase Crashlytics or Sentry, you will ensure that errors are proactively detected and corrected
• As a mentor, you will support junior developers in their professional and personal development 

Your skills

• You have several years of professional experience as an Android developer
• Working with technologies such as Kotlin Coroutines/Flow, Jetpack Compose & Compose Navigation on a daily basis is part of your repertoire
• You have a good understanding of software architecture, clean code and unit testing
• Ideally, you have already gained experience in supporting wearables (e.g. Thryve SDK), device hardening (e.g. with Build38) and the integration of content management systems (e.g. Strapi)
• With your strong communication skills and confident manner, you explain complex technical issues in an understandable way – both within the team and to customers
• You take ownership, drive solutions independently and understand how to tackle complex technical challenges together with your team
• You ensure smooth knowledge transfer and effectively coordinate the collaboration of different teams to ensure continuous project progress
• You are keen to familiarize yourself with new technologies such as Kotlin Multiplatform and have experience in using agile development methods
• Fluent German (C1) and very good English (B2) skills round off your profile
